Point Park University Athletics is off to an exciting start to the 2024-2025 inaugural season of play in NCAA Division II and the Mountain East Conference (MEC). This next chapter for the University and our student-athletes follows Point Park’s provisional acceptance into NCAA II and the MEC on July 11, 2024. The move represents a huge step forward, elevating Point Park Athletic Programs and our University.
In 2024, Point Park will field 15 varsity teams with an additional four teams to follow next year. We invite you to join us as we embark on the future of Pioneer Athletics by lending your support! In its previous conference, the River States Conference (RSC), Point Park Athletics was recognized as the best overall Athletic Department in the RSC each of the past four years by winning four consecutive RSC Commissioner’s All-Sports Cups from 2020-2024. Since 2009, the Pioneers have sent over 22 different sports teams to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship events and have won over 34 conference championships.
Our student-athletes also excel off the competition field. The athletic department grade-point average (GPA) for the 2023-2024 school year was 3.27 and 76 Pioneer student-athletes were honored as National Scholar-Athletes. The Pioneers also take pride in community engagement as they participate in numerous community service projects every year.
Help us continue to build on the legacy of Point Park Athletics and support our first year of play in the NCAA II and MEC by donating directly to a team or program of your choice. GO PIONEERS!
