The School of Continuing and Professional Studies is the ‘new kid’ on the block at Point Park University. Formerly known as the Online Division, we’ve expanded our offerings and are focused on providing life-long learning opportunities to the community.
We have a brand-new degree completion program, the Masters of Arts in Professional Studies, or MAPS for short. MAPS allows you the flexibility of transferring in credits from another program, to finish your degree in two disciplines.
Looking for a career change or to expand your skills? We have noncredit certificate programs that will train you to pass industry-specific exams for a new career in technology or project management. Those same programs are eligible for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding through PA Career Link and the local Workforce Development boards.
Still not your cup of tea? If you prefer something stronger, we have noncredit Brewing Science and Distilling Science Academies. These programs are taught on campus during the summer months and help to foster growth in the region's expanding brewing and distilling industry.
Or perhaps you want to get back to your journalism roots? We have our Citizen Reporting Academy which trains you to break into the field of reporting, local news through a partnership with the Trib. Those who complete the program will be able to combat ‘news deserts’ and earn some money by covering the stories that matter in your community.
Your contribution will be the cornerstone in creating a scholarship fund which will be used by life-long learners in need of financial assistance to make their next career move.
Our goal is to raise $2,500 for the first year, but every additional donation past that point will allow us to expand our scholarship opportunities further. Thank you!
