Cinema Arts
“Working professionals mentor young artists preparing for professional careers in the Cinema arts” is the mission statement of the Cinema Arts department. This is evident in the faculty members, facilities, equipment and curriculum - all in service of the goal of helping young animators, filmmakers, and screenwriters develop into talented and skilled artists, ready for careers in the media and entertainment industries. With an eye fixed on the department values of professional, industry‐based, and hands‐on training, built on a foundation of storytelling, a Cinema Arts student’s studies are production‐centric and highly collaborative as they learn with state‐of‐the‐art equipment, in state-of-the-art facilities.

Dance
Point Park’s nationally recognized dance program integrates tradition, innovation and artistry to propel students to successful careers as professional dancers, choreographers and teachers in dance companies, Broadway shows and tours. The university’s BFA dance program continues to be recognized as one of the best in the country by DanceUS.org and OnStage. Criteria include cost, scholarships, curriculum, performance opportunities, facilities, faculty experience and career support. New this year, the department introduced a BA in dance education certification Pre-K through 12 program which creates a direct path for students who wish to continue high-level dance training and become certified dance educators.
